2020, COVID, locked in with a 2 GB HP Pavilion running Windows 7. I was struggling
with it when a YouTube video introduced me to Linux Mint — installed
it hoping to break the laptop and get a new one. It was snappy. I felt like a software
engineer. I started playing with the terminal, called myself a hacker, got obsessed
with how websites actually work (turns out Inspect Element
deletes login popups — that trick changed everything).
At 15, sister handed me a MacBook Air (2016) and I started with HTML. Built dumb websites. Then the thought hit: if I can make it, I can break it. At 16½, I got into Kali Linux — and the rest is just shipping one small project after another.
